  1.             Name That Noise 1.0 for Windows 3.1

  3. Name That Noise is a game for use with Windows 3.1 or higher. You must have a
  4. sound driver to play the wave files that the game uses.  Name That Noise is
  5. a sound trivia game.  You play the game by listening to sounds and guessing 
  6. what they are, who said them, or what movie they are from.  For example,  a 
  7. wave file may be a recording of the phrase "Read my lips, no new taxes."  
  8. When you press the LISTEN button the wave file will be played.  Then you may 
  9. guess who said that phrase.  To check your answer press the ANSWER button to
  10. display the correct answer.

  12.     The sound can be anything that can be recorded and stored in a 
  13. Windows wave file.  If you have a multimedia compatible sound card, you can
  14. record sound bites from movies, TV shows, music, noises around the house, or
  15. anything else you can think of to use with this game.  There are already 
  16. hundreds of wave files available on many electronic bulletin boards such as 
  17. CompuServe and America Online.  Many are popular sound bites from movies and
  18. television.  You can collect these wave files and arrange them however you 
  19. like.  For instance, you could make a game file that was for TV sounds.  
  20. Playing the game won't be too challenging for whoever makes the game, but
  21. the games can be a lot of fun for family and friends

  25.     To install Name That Noise, simply copy the files in the NameThat.ZIP
  26. file into the directory where you keep your "WAV" files.  Then create an icon
  27. by choosing the FILE|NEW menu option from the Windows Program Manger.  Click
  28. on the OK button or press ENTER.  Complete the Program Item Properties 
  29. dialog box and press ENTER.  See the extensive online help to learn how to
  30. play Name That Noise.
