- Name That Noise 1.0 for Windows 3.1
-
- Name That Noise is a game for use with Windows 3.1 or higher. You must have a
- sound driver to play the wave files that the game uses. Name That Noise is
- a sound trivia game. You play the game by listening to sounds and guessing
- what they are, who said them, or what movie they are from. For example, a
- wave file may be a recording of the phrase "Read my lips, no new taxes."
- When you press the LISTEN button the wave file will be played. Then you may
- guess who said that phrase. To check your answer press the ANSWER button to
- display the correct answer.
-
- The sound can be anything that can be recorded and stored in a
- Windows wave file. If you have a multimedia compatible sound card, you can
- record sound bites from movies, TV shows, music, noises around the house, or
- anything else you can think of to use with this game. There are already
- hundreds of wave files available on many electronic bulletin boards such as
- CompuServe and America Online. Many are popular sound bites from movies and
- television. You can collect these wave files and arrange them however you
- like. For instance, you could make a game file that was for TV sounds.
- Playing the game won't be too challenging for whoever makes the game, but
- the games can be a lot of fun for family and friends
